🎶 Queen of Opera to to release Gershwin’s “Summertime” on May 28: A Vocal Tribute 11 Years in the Making
A Full-Circle Tribute to Gershwin’s Timeless Aria
Orlando, FL — May 2025 —
International opera singer and recording artist Queen of Opera, will release her next single Summertime—the beloved aria from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess—on May 28, commemorating the 11th anniversary of her first performance of the piece during her graduation season at the University of Central Florida in 2014.
“I first sang Summertime in 2014, just before graduating from UCF,” says Pelletier. “That performance—held in celebration of Juneteenth—was deeply inspiring. It was the first aria learned out of my vocal studies. I wanted to return to this piece with everything I’ve learned vocally and emotionally since then.”
The release captures her signature cinematic vocal style—one that bridges classical rigor with raw emotional storytelling. It reflects the full-circle evolution of an artist who began with a vision and has since become a force in revitalizing opera for a new generation.
To date, D’Andrea has released 23 singles under Queen of Opera and additional singles under her name, D’Andrea Pelletier, including Ghost, Moons, and Elegy. Summertime will mark her 24th official single under Queen of Opera.
The new single will be available on all major streaming platforms on May 28, 2025.
